Partnering
Revance views partnering as a key strategy in addressing unmet market needs with the TransMTS™ technology. The TransMTS peptide technology is a broad platform enabling macromolecule delivery that has demonstrated effectiveness across multiple applications in preclinical through Phase 2 testing, and it can be applied to many therapeutic categories. We welcome licensing or other partnership opportunities to commercialize the TransMTS technology both within and outside of Revance's core areas of dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
Revance's lead compounds in development are RT001, a physician-applied topical botulinum toxin type A for cosmetic, hyperhidrosis and other dermatologic indications, and RT002, a next-generation injectable botulinum toxin type A.
RT001 demonstrated efficacy versus placebo at primary and multiple secondary endpoints in a US Phase 2b study, and it appears to be safe and well tolerated in over 200 patients in studies in the US and internationally.
Preclinical studies have shown that combining TransMTS peptide technology with RT002 enhances delivery of the drug to the target, which appears to increase duration of effect while decreasing diffusion to surrounding structures.
Revance is actively pursuing licensing opportunities outside North America for RT001 topical BoNT-A. The company is also pursuing strategic partnering opportunities for RT002 injectable BoNT-A for indications in the areas of neurology, pain management, over-active bladder, rhinitis, and other therapeutic indications worldwide.
As we broaden our product portfolio, Revance is interested in licensing compounds for use in combination with the TransMTS technology to treat acne, hyperpigmentation and other dermatologic conditions.
